Appointment Opportunity - Planning Board

The Town of Sandisfield is seeking interested residents to fill a vacancy on the Planning Board.

Please note, Planning Board members are elected positions. However, in accordance with MGL Ch 41, Sec 81A, an appointment will be made jointly by the Select Board and the remaining members of the Planning Board following a recent resignation. The appointed individual will serve until the next Annual Town Election in May 2027, at which time the position will appear on the ballot for the remainder of the unexpired term (May 2028).

The Planning Board is responsible for reviewing matters related to zoning, land use, subdivision regulations, and long-range planning for the Town. The Board also conducts public hearings and reviews certain development proposals and special permit applications.

The Planning Board meets once per month on the second Tuesday of each month.
