In the fall of 2014 concerns of our cemeteries being in poor condition were brought to the attention of the Select Board. The Select Board decided to create a Cemetery Committee. Their role is to advise and make recommendations to the Select Board who are also the Cemetery Commissars. The Select Board felt it was in the best interest of everyone if we had regulations. Therefore,this was our priority. You can click below to see those rules. The Cemetery Committee with a great deal of volunteer help spent many hours clipping and pruning in our New Boston Cemetery. We also used an approved solution to clean the stones. We have five cemeteries in town so we are continuing to work in each of them as time allows. We plan to post notices when we do additional volunteer pruning events. If you are able, please join us as the more hands the lighter the work load.
