Septic Installer Application
Contractors wishing to install a septic system or septic system component in the Town of Sandisfield must first apply to be a licensed septic installer.
In order to be approved as a licensed septic installer for Sandisfield, installers will need to demonstrate that they are competent and experienced with septic system installation. If the installer has a BCBOHA Installer Certification, they will be presumed to be competent. Those not having a BCBOHA Installer Certificate will need to provide evidence that they understand septic installation. Contact the Health Agent for more information on this process.
Filled out applications and $75 annual permit fee, payable to the Town of Sandisfield, will need to be mailed to:
Sandisfield Board of Health, 66 Sandisfield Rd, Suite 5, Sandisfield, MA 01255
NOTES BEFORE YOU START A SEPTIC SYSTEM
- You MUST have the DSCP issued directly to you, the installer, prior to start of work for a septic system. The DSCP paperwork typically has already been submitted by the designer or owner to the town.
- Contact Jayne Smith, Sandisfield's interim BOH Agent/Sanitarian one week before you start a septic system installation at jespublichealth@gmail.com or 413-717-8922.
