Updated 1/20/2021 – If you have an interest in joining the School Options Exploration Committee, please note that all full time and part time Sandisfield residents who submit a written request will be considered.  We welcome and encourage points of view that may not have been heard before.

The Town of Sandisfield is forming an ad hoc School Options Exploration Committee to study, evaluate and make recommendations on alternatives and/or continued participation in the Farmington River School District.

The School Options Exploration Committee will be chaired by the Town Manager and consist of five to ten Sandisfield residents. This Committee can be comprised of one non-registered voter. The Committee is expected to meet remotely once per week for a maximum of three months, and plans to have a kick-off meeting the last week of January. Exact meeting times will be scheduled around availability of members.

If you have an interest in joining the School Options Exploration Committee and have time to participate in weekly meetings, as well as conduct outside research, please submit a brief letter of interest to townmanager@sandisfieldma.gov

Letters of interest will be reviewed at the Monday, 1/25/21 Selectboard meeting. Please submit your letter no later than Thursday, 1/21/21 by 1:00 p.m. Letters received after 1/21/21 will be considered at the following week’s Selectboard meeting. New members will be added based on availability of open spots and at the discretion of the Board of Selectmen and Town Manager.
