November 2023 Special Town Meeting Update

At Wednesday evening’s Special Town Meeting, attended by 17 hardy souls who we thank for their devotion, all articles on the warrant passed unanimously with a one no-vote exception.
Article 1: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $150,332.75 released from overlay, to reduce the Tax Levy for Fiscal Year 2024, beginning on July 1, 2023.

Article 2: To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of $2,500.00 from Emergency Management Expenses, account #60291.02, to Emergency Management Grant, account #5004.00, to cover the cost of unreimbursed expenses.
Unanimous
Article 3: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $7,976.67 from General Stabilization to pay the town’s portion of five (5) percent of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant award.
One no vote
Article 4: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $7,500 from General Stabilization to the Reserve Fund to pay for FY24 unforeseen legal expenses.
Unanimous
Article 5: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $10,000 from General Stabilization to the Voc-Tech account to pay for FY24 student transportation expenses.
Unanimous
Article 6: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $9,716.51, or any other sum, from General Stabilization to pay bills from prior fiscal years.
