Employment Opportunity: Animal Control Officer
The Town of Sandisfield is accepting applications for the position of Animal Control Officer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and safety regulations, enforce MGL, disposing of deceased animals according to law, and responding to complaints. For complete job description, click here.
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent; and two years higher education in animal science, veterinary science or a related field. Previous animal control, veterinary medicine, or professional animal handling experience may be substituted for higher education. Must have valid Driver's License. Must have or be willing to obtain a certification as an Animal Control Officer by the Animal Control Officers Association of Massachusetts within the first year of employment.
