DPW UPDATE - MAINTAINING ROADSIDE DITCHES

The DPW cleans ditches to maintain and improve roadway drainage.  Rural roadside ditches carry water away from roads and protect the roads from washing out.  Ditches are also used for snow storage in the winter.

The cleaning of ditches on Silverbrook Rd. is being done now so that water drains off the roadway in advance of grading.
