Community Choice Power Supply Program Notice

You are receiving this notification because you’re currently enrolled in the Town of Sandisfield’s Community Choice Power Supply Program. 

Eversource’s Basic Service rate will be lower than the Town’s aggregation rate starting in July. The Town’s current product offering is 100% renewable and the rate is fixed at $0.22765 per kWh for all rate classes until your January 2024 meter read. Eversource’s Residential Basic Service rate is fixed at $0.14854 per kWh from July 1, 2023 thru December 31, 2023. 

The Town’s aggregation rate was set last fall when electricity prices were elevated due to economic and geo-political conditions worldwide. The 12-month term provided protection against further market spikes without locking the Town into the higher prices beyond that should the market stabilize. 

To leave Sandisfield’s Program for the summer, you can do one of two things: 

1. OPT-OUT Online:  Visit colonialpowergroup.com/sandisfield and click the OPT-OUT button, then fill out and submit the Opt-Out Form.
2. OPT-OUT by Phone:  Call NextEra at (855) 782-9307 and ask to leave the Town of Sandisfield’s Program.

For both of the above options, please have your Eversource bill handy in order to provide some required information. You may OPT-IN or OPT-OUT of the Town’s Program at any time in the future with NO CHARGE. 

The Town will be announcing its new aggregation rate later this year and will let you know if you should re-join the Program to see additional savings.

Basic Service rates change twice a year or more, depending on rate class. As a result, the aggregation rate will not always be higher than the Basic Service rate. The goal of the aggregation is to deliver savings over the life of the Program against Eversource Basic Service. However, such savings and future savings cannot be guaranteed.
