Town Caucus

When:   Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

Where:  DPW parking lot at 3 Silverbrook Rd. 

The Town Caucus is an opportunity for registered voters to nominate candidates to be placed on the ballot for the Annual Town Election in June.  This year, the Caucus will be held outdoors.  The DPW parking lot will be marked with a 6’ spacing grid to ensure proper social distancing. The Sandisfield Caucus typically lasts less than 15 minutes. 

Following are the offices up for election:

Annual Town Meeting 

When:   Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

Where:  DPW building at 3 Silverbrook Rd.

Town Meeting has the authority and responsibility to establish the Town budget, pass town and zoning bylaws, accept state laws and take other major actions affecting town operations.  Every registered voter may attend, speak, make parliamentary motions and vote on matters that come before Town Meetings. Non-voters are invited to attend and speak at Town Meetings, but may not make parliamentary motions or vote.  Masks are necessary to participate. 

Annual Election

When:   Monday, June 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Where:  Old Town Hall, 3 Silverbrook Rd.

Disposable pencils will be available for marking ballots. Masks are necessary to participate. 

In addition, the State has given municipalities permission to vote early from home.

If you prefer to vote from home:

1.  Print the Early Ballot Application

 If unable to print, call the Town Clerk at 413-258-4711, ext. 2 and ask to have an Early Ballot Application mailed to you. 

1. Complete the application as instructed.  Be sure your signature is visible.

4. Black drop box located at rear door of Town Hall Annex at 66 Sandisfield Rd.

Upon receipt of your application, the Town Clerk will mail you a ballot. 

Ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk by Election Day – June 22, 2020.
