FARMS:

Joshua's Farm
Dodd Road, Sandisfield, MA  www.Joshuasfarm.com 860-671-0327

This is a dairy farm on land restored from the historic Thomas Dodd farm. They offer fresh milk through herdshare contracts (you get a regular year round supply of raw milk based on a monthly contract, much like a CSA).

The cows here are hardy and grass fed, not given antibiotics unless they need treatment for injury or illness when their milk is not added to the bulk tank.Calves are allowed to remain with their mothers. The herd is outside rear round. Milk is collected once or twice a day by milking equipment and cleanliness is of the utmost importance. We are working to develop an A2/A2 herd of the best tasting, high protein creamy milk with guernsey and milking shorthorn cows.
